A warm ‘Medbury Welcome’ to all of those visiting our website.
Visitors to Medbury often acknowledge that it is very different to other schools. The foundation of our school lies in our Medbury Values, which are reinforced at assemblies, chapel services and daily lessons. Medbury is a boys only independent school from Year 1 to Year 8 and our dedicated staff have an understanding and a passion for boys’ education. Our learning programme is based on the New Zealand Curriculum and boys are assessed according to national curriculum levels and against Medbury Standards.
We have a modern and spacious campus, which enables our classroom and specialist teachers to create stimulating and engaging lessons, which capture the imagination of the boys in their classes. Our classroom programmes are innovative and technology is embraced throughout Medbury. Importantly, laptops and other devices are used to assist with the boys' learning, but not to be the learning. I strongly believe that the balance between innovative learning and traditional expectations on bookwork and standards, sets Medbury apart from other schools.
