Dave was educated at an all-boys boarding school in the UK. After university and postgraduate teacher training, he was appointed to the post of Teacher and Director of Rugby at Latymer Upper School, London. Following four years at Latymer Dave moved to New Zealand and began a 10 year stint as a teacher and boarding housemaster at Christ’s College. Dave was first assistant housemaster of Richards House for two years, then housemaster of Flower’s for a further eight years, developing the College’s Boarding and Leadership Development Programs. Following the 2010 earthquake Dave moved across the Tasman to Scotch College, Adelaide as Director of Boarding and oversaw the establishment of the College’s brand new multi-million dollar boarding precinct. After three years at Scotch it was back to New Zealand as a Deputy Principal at Scots College, Wellington. Dave was then recruited to Kristin School in Auckland where he was the Middle School Principal for seven years overseeing several innovations and developments and leading the school to record roll growth across all year groups.Dave completed a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership at the University of Canterbury in 2019 for which he received a Distinction. He is also a qualified executive coach and has a wealth of experience in creating and developing wellbeing models in school settings. His educational philosophy is centred around inclusivity. Dave believes that an inclusive education means serving students of all abilities well, finding a pathway for every student and creating an environment of success for everyone, where they can truly belong and become the best versions of themselves.
Warren commenced teaching at Medbury in 2016. Prior to this he taught at Crawford Preparatory School, Michaelhouse and The Cathedral Grammar School. Warren has a Bachelor of Primary Education degree from Natal University, a Bachelor of Education degree (with Honours) in Leadership and Management from The University of The Witwatersrand, and a Postgraduate Certificate in the Effective Practice in Gifted Education.
Scott has been at Medbury since 2014. He has been teaching for nine years, in schools in Taranaki, Blenheim and Qatar. Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology and Philosophy from University of Otago, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Primary Teaching from the Dunedin College of Education.
Brendan has been teaching at Medbury since 2010. He taught at Houghton Valley School in Wellington from 2004 for six years, as the ICT Coordinator and as a classroom teacher at Year 3 to 6 levels. Brendan holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in History and American Studies from University of Canterbury, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Primary Teaching from the New Zealand Graduate School.
Schooled in Christchurch and graduating from University of Canterbury with a B Com, John began his career as a CA with KPMG in Christchurch, followed by OE working in the UK, and a number of senior executive roles with a Financial Services sector focus. He has performed Governance roles in regional tennis organisations and continues to enjoy tennis in his spare time. Married to Sarah, they have three adult children.
Rachelle's background is in professional services firm management and business development. She has held senior leadership positions for 10+ years in six medium to large law firms across New Zealand, and in Australia. Rachelle holds various governance roles in private and charitable entities.
Holding a bachelor's degree in Media Communications from Otago and studying Journalism at Massey University, Victoria established herself internationally in publishing, editing, and fundraising. Demonstrating her entrepreneurial spirit, she founded Public Relations Group in 2010. Now at Medbury, Victoria aims to elevate the institution's philanthropic legacy, bringing her wealth of experience to contribute to its growth and advancement.
Virinia is an Occupational Psychologist and People & Culture Specialist with 25 years’ experience across a range of service focused industry groups, private and public. Married to John, a Medbury old boy, Virinia looks forward to supporting the entire team. She is utterly dotty about her family, especially her sons, Will and Alexander, sport, travel, and the outdoors and being of service and support to her employers, close family, friends and the community. On her to do list for life is learning a musical instrument, further study and travel in NZ and the World.
